advanced opportunities program
Idaho Statute 198 details the program. Included:
- Each Idaho student is eligible for $4,125 for overload classes, dual credit classes and PTE exams, seventh to twelfth grade ($75 per dual credit cost)
- Students must receive academic advising after accumulating 15 dual credits
- Early graduates (at least one year) are eligible for an Idaho post-secondary scholarship
- Workforce Development classes can be covered at up to $500 per course, $1000/year. (List of Courses covered by this at CWI)
- Workforce Development classes can also be covered up to $225 per course (at least 60 hour credit course, equivalent of 1 HS credit)

VCS students are responsible for entering their classes, overload and dual credit, into the state's
Advanced Opportunities portal requesting their classes to be funded through the Advanced Opportunities program.
